Governors

The Board of Governors for Flixton Primary School is made up of a mix of people from our community. We have parents, staff and Local Authority representatives on the Board, as well as Governors who have been co-opted because of their skills and expertise in various areas of business, finance and administration. Together, the Board set the strategic direction of our school and check to make sure it is fulfilling both its statutory and moral obligations to provide the best possible start to our children's education.

In order to fulfil its remits, the Board meets as a whole body termly, and also has a number of Committees responsible for different elements of the school's performance. There are three committees:

Pupil Experience Committee (PEC) has a remit which covers all aspects of the curriculum and children's experience of school life, including Safeguarding and pastoral issues.

Finance, Resources and Personnel Committee (FRPC) oversees and monitors the school budget, staffing and premises issues.

The Executive Committee (Exec) has a responsibility to monitor the school's continual improvements, and their impact on school performance. The Committee has oversight of the School Improvement Plan and standards as shown through both external testing (SATs) and internal assessment.
