Year 6 Residential: The Peak Venture Centre

Year 6 are invited to attend a residential trip at the end of the school year, visiting the Peak Venture Centre in the Peak District. Whilst there, children enjoy a range of outdoor activities, aimed at taking them outside their comfort zones and challenging themselves. The aim of the trip is to show that they really do believe in themselves - an attribute that will help them enormously as they transition into secondary school. This year's residential visit will take place from Wednesday 16th July until Friday 18th July.

Activities in last year's residential included canoeing, buggy building, zipwire, 3G swing, campfire, archery and problem solving. Our Year 6's had an amazing time, and many overcame at least one fear - whether it was heights, open water, staying away from home or even the teachers' singing voices...

They were all really proud of their achievements, and deservedly so.
