We watched a short clip called Poppies (https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/watch/poppies) from the CBeebies website which encourages young children to focus for two minutes on the importance of peacetime. We talked about it afterwards and we learned about why we wear poppies. We then decided to make our own Poppy gallery on the wall. The children were able to use pegs on pom poms to dip in paint, then paint and draw the stem and leaf details if they wanted to. We then displayed them in class where they look fantastic, we hope you liked looking at them in the open classroom.
